I did mention to Wayne that he can hit the pillow or sofa but not the floor or wall or any hard objects as this would hurt himself and damage things.

I think it's really difficult to stop his temper immediately and to stop him from hurting anybody, I think it would be fine if he hit the pillow. After hitting, the anger would disappear.

To stop anger, it takes a long time. Even we as adults get angry very fast and do silly things too. If I guide him along, I'm pretty confident that he'll be fine one day and he'll not hit even the pillow anymore.

That really need some time.

Thanks for your opinion. I'll be extra careful when I deal with Wayne. He's the most difficult child.

But by telling him that, don't you are indirectly telling him that it is ok to bite and to hit as long as it is not done on human being.

Does this means that when he got angry, it is ok for him to kick the door or punch the wall?
