When it comes to marriage, the question of whether to marry early or late often become the main concern for most girls. As we know, there are always pros and cons to any alternative.
We chose to marry early at the age of 25, earlier than most of my friends and until today, we have no regrets. We were holding babies and toddlers when most of our friends were holding each other’s hands. We were pushing strollers, carrying diaper bags and feeding children while our friends were having candle light dinner. We were at home putting the children to bed while our friends were dating at the cinema. Should I say more?
Now, when our children grow up and no longer need diapers, no longer feed on bottles or breast, no longer need us to carry in our arms, we see our friends carrying their babies instead. Now, it’s their turn to have sleepless nights and their turn to search high and low for suitable babies and toddler products. The only difference is that, we did all the chasing and running about when we were young and when our energy level was high.
Our friends are now doing what we were doing years ago, wanting the best for our children. We would compare each product be it a stroller, a high chair, a car seat or even toys and books hoping to buy the best for our children. Reading the resource guide or buying guide would help us make a better decision or at least enable us to know each product better.
So, while I’m laughing very softly seeing my friends chasing their toddlers, I’m laughing at myself too for I’m at the next phase – schooling, homework and peers, a more stressful phase!

I'm happy I'm no longer in the baby phase, but I'm in the teenager phase with my daughter.
Can't help laughing at ur last paragraph. LOL Parenting gets tougher as the kids grow older yeah. As for this more stressful phase, ur frens'll get to it soon. :)
You mean it gets harder???
As a mom of a toddler and a former teacher of teens . . . I'd have to second that!
So true. Now I have different set of worries. Many mummies of my age gasp when they knew I have 3 kids and my eldest already 7 years old. :P
The most flattering was last weekend, on man asked his son to call me jiejie. wahaha...
Conclusion? It just never ends. We as parents will always do as much as we can for our kids. Even when we are 70 years old, we still help them to take care of our grandchildren.
So, are we doing the right thing? Hahahaha......
Hi Jo-N, you made the right decision having babies early.
But today, I notice women getiing married much later. I guess their careers take precedence.
Singapore being an example...here too.
For me, I wanted to enjoy my life before settling down to one woman.
Then again, my long ago lifestyle, no woman dare accept or tolerate, ha ha...hardly home, every few days out of town or country, or coming home wayyyy past midnight.
Very often catching last flight home at 11pm, arriving home at about 1am. Then by 7pm off again, ha ha.
And today the opposite...home everyday and doting on one girl, my wife....
Have a nice day Jo. Psssst, anymore babies in the future? Ha ha. Lee.
I know what you mean.. it's really tough to take care of an active kid when you are not that young :-)
Happy Parenthood!~
