Thank You For Your Suggestions

Remember my previous post? I know you do. Well, I managed to capture some more photos - the more extreme positions. Do you think I should correct him or leave him alone?

Many of you suggested getting him a smaller chair. Here's how he sits on a stool.

Difficult to change, eh?

Here are some suggestions which I have not tried.

Tammy suggested a booster seat.

Kellan suggested putting a pillow on the chair.

Laskigal suggested having him make a special seat cushion so that he would be more incline to sit on it.

Alycia suggested putting some things on the side of the chair to make the space just enough to fit his butt.

The New Parent suggested telling him and showing him several times the position we want him to sit in.

Thank you everybody for all your wonderful suggestions. I will try them out and let you know the result.

i thought it is only a phase... because I saw a few kids are doing the same.... one of the mother told me it is because they are not "focus" on sitting down there... hmmmm dunno how true

My daughter does the same thing! WE bought her a booster seat and it helps, but she still sits off kilter during meals sometimes.

Haha, cannot be helped!! Like the cantonese phrase: Mou tak kau!!! :-) I am sure one day, the butt will begin to complain, and everything will be alright.

I don't know about other parents, but i think making them learn their lesson the hard way is much easier and has a better impact.
If i were you, I'll tilt the stool a little and let him fall off, (of course la not from a high high chair, a one feet stool should do the trick) . After he fall, explain to him why he fell, and why he is suppose to sit up right in the middle of the chair, not on its side.

Wow. Mommies do have many good ideas..

If all else fails, just let him sit the way he wants to. It must be comfortable for him.

maybe ask him why he's siting like this? is it the chair/stool or he enjoys having one leg out? :-)

LOL! So, the same position when it's a stool that's right for his size!

Hi JO-N, my personal opinion, I would leave him alone. But observe him....if it continues couple more months maybe seek a doctor's advice?
Anyway, you know best...not to worry, kids do strange things when young.
You keep well and have a niceday, Lee.

Trust me, it's not the chair. My Ryan does the same. It's like sitting that way is more comfy for them :P
