Communication is by far the best parenting tool for many people. For me, communication is important and is never a problem because my children, all three of them, love to talk. They never run out of idea and they CAN’T stop talking.
One day, the seven year old came back from school and talked to me, in a very different way and I call this a new way of communication.
Never had I expected this and I had to listen very carefully to understand what he said.
M.O.M.I.C.A.N.T.B.A.T.H.E.B.E.C.A.U.S.E.D.A.D.D.Y.I.S.I.N.T.H.E.B.A.T.H.R.O.O.M.
Can you figure out what he was trying to say? He was spelling out the whole sentence letter by letter without a stop!
Weird, isn’t it? Well, if I see it positively, he is just practicing his spelling skill. It’s not that bad after all.

That's good. My girl used to communicate with me in this way if we don't want to let the younger brother knows our talking. It is fun and in a way help to encourage her to practise the spelling.

Communication is good. Sometimes, we can communicate but when one has a son who is less communicative because he prefers to talk only when necessary, then another approach will have to be sourced.
I have two kids. One tells me everything and anything and one keeps everything to himself. I learn to respect his character and use a difference approach with him.
my girl went through with a phase like tat when she was about 6. instead of calling me.. everytime, she went M.U.M.M.Y gosh it was like that most of the time... If I was talking she'd spell it at the top of the voice! lucky she's out of it now...

Yay, my boy is not alone. Well, this phase will eventually pass but this phase is not so bad actually.
I will do that to my hubby when I don't want the kids to understand what I am saying...it isn't that easy. That is great that he can do that at such a yound age!

Fantastic spelling skills. Its easy for us to figure out reading it but I'm sure not easy to figure out when listening!
