The Entire Truth

Montessorimum has given a tough test to me. It's about the things that I don't like people doing, asking, saying or telling me. When I was younger, this might be an easy task but now I have changed and I don't really get annoyed so easily compared to last time.

I am supposed to write 8. So, I will try my best to tell you my entire truth:

Please do not pull a long face when I greet you.

Hey, I have taken the initiative to greet you first. If you don't feel like saying "Good Morning" or "Hello", you can smile or at least don't show me that sour face like I owe you a million dollars.

Please do not tell my maid what to do when you come to my house.

You will confuse her. I teach her one set of rules and you ask her to follow your way. What is she going to do? There are different rules in every house. So, you do this in your house. Do you think I MUST follow your way? You wouldn't like it too if I tell your maid what to do, ya?

Please do not tell me lies.

I just hate people telling me lies. What is there to lie about? It's not that I will blame you or scold you if I know the truth. So, you are afraid I get upset? By telling me a lie and let me find out later, do you think I don't get upset at all?

Please keep your promise.

If you want to promise me something, be sure to deliver or else, please do not promise. Just say that you will try your best.

Please answer when I call or talk to you.

It's really RUDE if you do not answer. Even if you are busy, have the courtesy to say: "I am busy right now. I will talk to you later."

Please call or sms if you are late.

If we are having an appoinment and you know you will be late, do you think it's fair to keep me waiting by telling me "I'm on my way" while you are still at home? Make it a point to inform me so that I can do my other work. I have lots of work, you know?

Please do not blame others when you cannot complete the task I gave you.

Blaming others or giving excuses won't help you to complete your task. Why not look within you? Maybe you are not trying hard enough or have not put in enough effort?

Please do not teach me what to do if you do not know what I am doing.

If you are better than me in certain things, you are always welcome to give me suggestions. If you know nothing about what I am doing, do you think I should follow what you say? It's like teaching the doctor how to give treatment. Do you think it will work?

I have cracked my head on this. Finally, it's done.
